Texts and trinkets: a new way to keep teens with HIV healthy?
NCT ID NCT07377760
First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tests if sending text reminders and offering small rewards (like school supplies or sports items) can help adolescents (ages 15-19) with HIV take their antiretroviral medicine on time. About 327 teens in Ethiopia will be split into groups: some get messages and rewards, others get standard care. The goal is to see if this simple approach improves medication adherence and keeps them in care.
