First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests whether text messages can help prevent HIV in cisgender adolescent males (ages 13-22) who have sex with males. 5,000 participants across the US will receive either HIV prevention texts or general healthy lifestyle texts. The goal is to see if the messages reduce new HIV infections and increase testing and use of prevention medicines like PrEP.
