Can a text message save your life? study tests diet nudges for cancer survivors
NCT ID NCT05746195
Summary
This study tested whether sending personalized text messages could help colon and rectal cancer survivors eat more whole grains and less refined grains. Researchers enrolled 46 survivors who were not on active cancer treatment to receive nutrition education and 12 weeks of tailored text messages. The main goal was to see if this text-message approach was practical and acceptable for helping survivors follow a diet linked to better long-term health.
