Texting for hope: new study aims to bridge gap in depression care for cancer survivors
NCT ID NCT07091968
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple text-message system can help cancer survivors who have symptoms of depression get connected to mental health care. Researchers will enroll 60 adult cancer survivors and send them tailored text messages with information and a link to a referral service over 4 weeks. The main goal is to see if this approach is easy to use and acceptable to participants, and if it helps more people start treatment for depression compared to usual care.
