Video game helps moms erase traumatic birth memories
NCT ID NCT05381155
Summary
This study tested whether a single therapy session could reduce distressing memories of childbirth. Mothers who experienced intrusive traumatic memories after giving birth were asked to briefly recall their birth experience and then play the video game Tetris. Researchers compared mothers who received this intervention immediately to those who waited, measuring changes in memory frequency and related stress symptoms over several weeks.
