Doctors test emoji buttons to gauge patient discomfort
NCT ID NCT07269652
Summary
This study tested two simple tools—a line where men mark their satisfaction and a button with four smiley faces—to see if they could effectively measure urinary symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate. Researchers compared these quick methods to standard, longer questionnaires and clinical tests in 100 men. The goal was to find faster, easier ways for patients to communicate their symptoms to doctors during clinic visits.
