NCT ID NCT07482956

First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special camera (LC-OCT) can help doctors see the edges of skin cancer before and during surgery. About 290 adults with basal cell carcinoma will be randomly assigned to standard surgery or surgery guided by this camera. The goal is to see if the camera reduces the number of cuts needed to remove all cancer, while keeping the same safety and saving healthy skin.
