Summary

This study is testing a drug called teplizumab to see if it can delay the onset of type 1 diabetes in Japanese children and adults aged 8 to 34 who are at high risk. Participants will receive a 14-day intravenous infusion of the drug or be in a control group. The main goal is to see if the treatment can prevent or postpone the development of full-blown diabetes and to check for safety.
