First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a mild electrical treatment called TENS to a Mediterranean diet can help people with nonalcoholic fatty liver control their appetite and improve liver health. Fifty adults aged 35-45 with fatty liver and elevated liver enzymes will be split into two groups: one gets the diet alone, the other gets the diet plus TENS. Researchers will measure changes in appetite, liver enzymes, and body weight over the study period.
