Zapping nerves to tame phantom pain: new hope for amputees

Summary
This study is testing whether a non-invasive electrical stimulation treatment (TENS) can help people who have had a leg amputation. The goal is to see if the treatment can reduce phantom limb pain (pain felt in the missing limb) and improve their posture, balance, and walking. Fifteen participants will attend 20 treatment sessions over four weeks, combining the electrical stimulation with standard physical therapy exercises.
