Remote rehab rivals clinic visits for shoulder surgery recovery

NCT ID NCT07205094

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 04, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tested whether doing physical therapy at home via video calls (telerehabilitation) works as well as going to a clinic after rotator cuff surgery. Thirty people who had surgery at least six weeks earlier took part. Both groups did the same exercises for eight weeks, and both improved in pain, movement, and quality of life. The telerehab group actually did better in some areas, suggesting it's a good option for recovery.
