Summary
This study tested a telepresence robot that lets long-term hospital patients (staying at least 2 months) control a robot in their own home using a smartphone or tablet. The robot moves around and lets them talk with family and friends. Researchers measured how acceptable and emotionally helpful this technology is for patients with motor or cognitive disabilities.
