NCT ID NCT06845774

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study aims to make HIV prevention easier for people who inject drugs in rural Appalachia by offering PrEP (medication that prevents HIV) through telehealth at local health departments. About 80 participants will be randomly assigned to either receive this integrated telehealth care or standard education and referral. The goal is to see if the telehealth approach helps more people start and stay on PrEP.
