Remote care trial aims to tame blood sugar spikes for veterans
NCT ID NCT06918977
Summary
This study is testing a new remote care approach to help veterans with type 2 diabetes who take multiple daily insulin shots. Researchers want to see if using 'smart' insulin pens that track doses, along with continuous glucose monitors and video check-ins, leads to better blood sugar control than using traditional pens with the same monitors and check-ins. The goal is to reduce dangerous highs and lows in blood sugar and prevent hospital visits.
