Knee replacement recovery: could a phone call replace the Doctor's office?

NCT ID NCT07058623

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tests whether nurse-led telehealth visits using a mobile app can detect complications and support recovery after total knee replacement just as well as traditional in-person clinic visits. About 98 adults who had their first knee replacement will be randomly assigned to either telehealth or in-person follow-up care. The goal is to see if telehealth is a safe, effective, and more convenient option for patients.
