Telehealth brings HIV prevention to rural drug users

NCT ID NCT06845774

Summary

This study tests whether offering telehealth HIV prevention services at syringe programs helps more people start and continue preventive medication. Researchers will work with 80 people who inject drugs in Appalachia, comparing integrated telehealth care against standard education and referrals. The goal is to reduce barriers to HIV prevention in rural areas where healthcare access is limited.
