Summary
This study aims to adapt and test a phone-based counseling program designed to prevent suicide among people struggling with alcohol use disorder in Tanzania. Researchers will work with 30 participants who have both alcohol problems and recent suicidal thoughts to see if the counseling approach is practical and acceptable in a local emergency department setting. The goal is to create a resource-efficient mental health support tool for areas with very few mental health professionals.
