First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tested a new drug called MP-424 (telaprevir) combined with two standard medications (peginterferon and ribavirin) in 108 adults with genotype 2 hepatitis C whose infection returned after previous treatment. The goal was to see if this triple therapy could clear the virus for good. Participants took the drugs for up to 24 weeks, and the main measure was whether the virus remained undetectable 24 weeks after treatment ended.
