First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests a new sedative called tegileridine fumarate for patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) who need a breathing machine (ventilator) for 2 to 3 days. The goal is to keep patients calm and comfortable while on the ventilator. About 120 adults will take part, and the study compares different doses of the new drug to a standard sedative to see which works best and is safest.
