New drug duo aims to wipe out rare blood disease

Summary

This study tests whether two drugs, teclistamab and daratumumab, can safely and effectively treat AL amyloidosis, a rare disease where abnormal proteins damage organs. About 25 adults with newly diagnosed disease will receive the combination for 6 months. The main goal is to see if the treatment can completely clear the abnormal proteins from the blood.
