First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looked at whether using online tools like YouTube videos, TikTok, and resource links can help sexual and gender minority youth (ages 14-19) feel more comfortable seeking help for depression and anxiety. 81 participants joined a private Discord group for 4 weeks and had access to different combinations of these tools. The goal was to see if these tools were easy to use and if they increased the teens' intention to talk to a counselor or therapist.
