NCT ID NCT07160673

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 21, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tests whether using virtual reality (VR) for short, guided getaways can improve mood, reduce loneliness, and boost quality of life for caregivers and the homebound older adults they care for. 180 participants will be randomly assigned to VR sessions, video sessions, or usual care. Researchers will measure changes in depression, anxiety, loneliness, and happiness right after the 4-week program and again 3 months later.
