First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether a mild, non-invasive brain stimulation technique called tDCS can improve swallowing problems in people with Parkinson's disease. 58 participants will receive either real or sham tDCS alongside standard swallowing therapy. The team will use video X-rays and brain scans to measure changes in swallowing and brain activity, with follow-up at 3 months.
