Zapping the brain to ease obsession with 'Clean' eating?
NCT ID NCT07141979
Summary
This study is investigating whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called tDCS can improve mental flexibility in people with orthorexia nervosa, a condition involving an extreme fixation on healthy eating. Researchers will compare brain wave patterns and thinking task performance in 48 participants (half with high orthorexia scores) before and after receiving either real or fake stimulation. The goal is to better understand the brain activity linked to this condition and see if stimulation can change it.
