One-Month pill could shield students from TB

Summary
This study aims to see if a new, much shorter one-month pill regimen works as well as the standard three-month regimen to prevent tuberculosis (TB) in students and staff exposed to an active TB case at their school. It will enroll over 3,500 participants across multiple schools in China who have latent TB infection but no active disease. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the new short course or the standard course and followed for two years to compare how many in each group develop active TB.
