First seen Dec 15, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests a new PET scan tracer (18F-FAPI-74) to detect scarring in the lungs of people with active tuberculosis. About 30 adults with confirmed TB will receive an injection and a whole-body scan. The goal is to see if this method can spot fibrosis, which may help doctors better understand and manage long-term lung damage after TB.
