Massive TB screening study seeks hidden disease clues

Summary
This study screened 5,694 people who had previously participated in a vaccine trial to find cases of tuberculosis, including hidden infections without symptoms. Participants received chest x-rays and sputum tests, and researchers collected blood samples to look for biological markers that could help diagnose TB. The goal was to improve understanding of how to detect tuberculosis, especially in its early stages.
