Pepper power: could a hot chili patch regrow Chemo-Damaged nerves?

NCT ID NCT07602387

First seen May 23, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a high-dose capsaicin patch (made from chili peppers) can help regrow small nerve fibers in people with long-term nerve pain from taxane chemotherapy. Researchers will compare two groups: one using the capsaicin patch and another receiving standard pain treatments. The goal is to understand how nerves heal after chemotherapy ends, not to cure the condition.
