First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tests a new device called HemoCept that measures blood volume and heart efficiency during a heart valve replacement procedure (TAVR). Researchers want to see if the device can detect changes in blood flow as accurately as standard tests. About 20 adults with aortic valve stenosis will be enrolled. The goal is to improve monitoring during surgery, not to treat the disease itself.
