Newborn infection shield: taurolidine lock trial aims to save tiny lives

Summary
This study tests whether a taurolidine lock solution, placed inside the catheter when not in use, can prevent serious bloodstream infections in newborns who need a central line. About 576 babies in the NICU will take part. The goal is to see if this simple step can reduce infections without causing harm.
