First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looks at children under 18 who need heart surgery with a heart-lung machine. Researchers want to see if certain proteins in the blood can tell us about brain injury after surgery. They will measure these proteins and compare them to how the brain is working after the operation. The goal is to better understand and possibly prevent brain problems in the future.
