New hope for kids with tough leukemia: drug combo trial opens

Summary
This early-stage trial tests a drug called talazoparib, combined with standard chemotherapy, for children and young adults up to age 21 whose acute myeloid leukemia (AML) has come back or not responded to treatment. The main goal is to find the safest dose and see if the combination helps shrink the cancer. About 34 participants will take part across multiple hospitals.
