First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a program called Taking Action, where trained peers help college students with serious mental illnesses like depression, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia learn to manage their condition. About 300 students will be randomly assigned to either the program or just receive information. Researchers will check if the program improves mental health symptoms, recovery, and college persistence over three months.
