New drug aims to unleash immune system on Hard-to-Treat cancers

Summary
This study tests a new medicine, TAK-188, designed to help the immune system fight advanced solid tumors that haven't responded to standard treatments. TAK-188 targets and removes certain cells inside tumors that weaken the immune response, potentially allowing cancer-fighting cells to attack the tumor. About 223 adults will receive TAK-188 for up to one year, with monitoring for safety and tumor response.
