Summary

This study tests a 12-week home-based tai chi program for people with chronic heart failure and their caregivers. Participants learn tai chi through videos and online coaching, aiming to improve heart function and reduce caregiver burden. The trial enrolls 256 sedentary adults with mild to moderate heart failure who own a smartphone.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
home-based digital-assisted dyadic tai chi training program
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a safe, accessible way for heart failure patients and their caregivers to improve physical function and well-being at home.
What could go wrong
This is a behavioral intervention study, not a drug trial. Results may vary, and benefits might be modest or not apply to all heart failure types.
