New diabetes pill tested in major trial

NCT ID NCT01413204

Summary

This study tested whether a new oral medication called TA-7284 could help control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes. For 24 weeks, participants took either a low dose, high dose, or placebo pill. The goal was to see if the medication was effective and safe for people whose diabetes wasn't well managed by diet and exercise alone.
