New MRI technique spots hidden heart damage in thyroid patients

Summary
This study will test whether a special MRI technique called T1 mapping can find and measure tiny scars in the heart muscle of people with long-term thyroid disease. The goal is to see if this non-invasive scan can replace the need for a heart biopsy. The study will involve 40 adults with chronic thyroid disease who do not have other major illnesses like diabetes or high blood pressure.
