New drug duo offers hope for hard-to-treat stomach cancer

Summary
This study tests a combination of two targeted drugs, trastuzumab deruxtecan (T-DXd) and afatinib, in people with advanced stomach cancer that has low levels of a protein called HER2. The goal is to see if the combination is safe and works better than current treatments. About 61 adults whose cancer has worsened after prior therapy will participate.
