No treatment, just data: new study maps inflammation in heart and kidney patients
NCT ID NCT06655493
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This completed study from Novo Nordisk looked at 756 adults in the Middle East who have heart disease with or without kidney disease. Researchers measured levels of a protein called hsCRP, which indicates inflammation throughout the body. Participants had one clinic visit and continued their usual care—no new treatment was given. The goal was simply to count how many people have high inflammation, which may help guide future research.
