First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tests a new robotic system called Symani for brain surgery in 15 adults with Moyamoya disease, a condition where key arteries in the brain become blocked. The goal is to see if the robot can help surgeons safely reroute blood vessels to improve blood flow and reduce stroke risk. Participants will be followed with CT scans to check if brain blood flow stays stable after surgery.
