First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looks at how non-nutritive sweeteners (like those in diet drinks) affect blood sugar control, gut bacteria, and hunger hormones. Researchers will compare a 6-week period of consuming these sweeteners to a control period in 60 healthy adults aged 45-79. The goal is to understand if these sweeteners have hidden effects on metabolism.
