New swallowing therapy gives hope to cancer survivors

Summary
This study tested a new therapy for head and neck cancer survivors who have long-term swallowing problems. 88 adults who finished cancer treatment at least 3 months ago learned to swallow at the right time during breathing. The goal was to make swallowing safer and reduce food or liquid going into the airway.
