First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study aims to understand how the upper part of the esophagus moves during swallowing and how it is affected by the earlier pharyngeal phase. Researchers will measure pressures and movements in the throat and esophagus using special probes and X-ray videos. The study includes healthy adults aged 18 to 90 and patients with swallowing problems who have normal test results. No treatment or drug is involved—only observation and measurement.
