Stanford tests sleep drug to help autistic teens rest better

Summary
This study is testing whether the prescription sleep medication suvorexant can improve sleep in teenagers with autism who have trouble falling or staying asleep. Researchers will compare the drug against a placebo in 26 participants over 8 weeks, measuring sleep patterns using wrist monitors and overnight sleep studies. The goal is to see if this medication helps autistic teens get better quality sleep.
