Sleep study offers hope for insomnia in opioid recovery

NCT ID NCT06655883

Summary

This study is testing if the sleep medication suvorexant can help people who are in treatment for opioid addiction get better sleep. Researchers will compare the drug to a placebo (a dummy pill) in 300 participants over 8 weeks to see if it safely helps people fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. The main goal is to see if it increases total sleep time for people whose insomnia is linked to their recovery.
