Do your stitches affect your scar? a carpal tunnel study

NCT ID NCT05503719

Summary

This study compares two types of stitches used to close the skin after carpal tunnel release surgery. Researchers want to see if absorbable stitches (which dissolve on their own) or non-absorbable stitches (which need to be removed) lead to better-looking scars and less pain for patients. About 116 people who had the surgery will rate their scar's appearance and any pain one year later.
