Surgery vs. shots: Head-to-Head obesity treatment showdown
NCT ID NCT06803888
Summary
This study directly compares three powerful weight loss approaches for adults with severe obesity: bariatric surgery (gastric bypass or sleeve), weekly semaglutide injections, and weekly tirzepatide injections. Researchers will follow 125 participants for two years to see which treatment leads to the most weight loss and best health improvements. The goal is to provide clear evidence to help doctors and patients choose the most effective treatment.
