Summary
This study asked over 800 Danish adults what they did to prepare for day surgery and how prepared they felt. Researchers wanted to see if certain preparation steps, like talking to doctors or arranging help at home, were linked to less worry before surgery and a smoother recovery afterwards. Patients filled out surveys on the day of their procedure and again three days later to track their recovery quality.
