Heated chemo bath fights cancer spread in the chest
NCT ID NCT07328074
Summary
This study is testing a two-part treatment for thymic cancer that has spread to the lining of the lungs. Doctors first remove the main tumor and visible spread using a heated surgical tool. Then, they wash the chest cavity with warm chemotherapy drugs to try to kill any remaining cancer cells. The goal is to see if this approach helps keep the cancer from coming back longer and improves patients' quality of life.
