New study tests which surgery works better for pelvic floor problems
NCT ID NCT06903988
Summary
This study compares two surgical approaches for treating advanced pelvic organ prolapse in women who haven't improved with non-surgical treatments. Researchers are testing whether a laparoscopic (keyhole) suspension procedure works as well as a traditional vaginal ligament repair. The study follows 86 patients for one year to see which method provides better long-term support and improves quality of life.
